Wine Label Design

Links Bridge Vineyards

Our friends at Links Bridge Vineyards recently asked us to work on the wine label design for both their Classic and Reserve wine series–each showcasing very special illustrations. Joan Cartier, coowner and talented artist, created two beautiful etchings of Old Links Bridge, which is near their vineyard.

Custom Wine Bottle Design

Classic Series

For the Classic series the Octavo Designs team proposed showcasing Joan’s “Fishing by Old Links Bridge” illustration by silk screening it onto the bottle for a dramatic and lively wine package. We created a vertical label to compliment Joan’s illustration and the overall design.

By silk screening the illustration onto the circumference of the bottle’s exterior, not only can people turn the bottle to enjoy the artwork in its entirety, they can also see a different perspective of the illustration through the bottle and the fabulous wine inside.

Reserve Bottles

For the Reserve bottle, we chose to design a traditional label to appeal to the wine enthusiast who has a taste for the finer wines. Joan’s “Bird Watching at Old Links Bridge” illustration is featured on the front label and designed a minimalistic design for the back label – creating a very clean and elegant feel.

When designing for wineries, its important to remember who the audience is. Developing something unique and eye-catching is a great way to introduce new people to their wine and expanding their client following.
